Scrum Master / Agile Lead - Antwerp, Belgium

As our Agile Lead and Engineering staff member, you will guide us on the journey towards greater dynamicity, change accommodation and effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • You are the leader and embodiment of our agile practices in our product and engineering teams: you take care of what works and nurtures what needs work, to improve our ability to accommodate change and achieve greater effectivity.
  • You assist and coach product owners in becoming more effective product leaders by consistently realising iterative value increments as part of a cross-functional team.
  • You introduce and animate agile ceremonies across multiple teams (3). You work with the teams to identify problems and growth areas.
  • You support engineering leadership with process definition, visualisation and reporting.
  • You own the tools set that supports our agile processes.
Your Skills
  • You are, first and foremost, a team player and people person.
  • You have a practical view on implementing delivery processes to accommodate change and grow effectivity, without dogmatic adherence to ‘the agile church’.
  • You can envision and deliver on a long-term roadmap towards process implementation while working on and assisting with good-enough small incremental changes. No big bang, but babysteps to grow confidence.
  • Due to the nature of our platform and activities, a technical background will help you to quickly ramp up your own skill level and understanding of our problem space, and become a true partner of the teams.
  • You have demonstrable minimum 2-3 years of experience as a full-time team lead or scrum master.

We offer
  • A diverse and friendly team with people of all ages and experience levels.
  • A learning environment where you can extend and build upon your skills and interests.
  • Competitive salary with benefits.
  • Cool, brand-new office located in Antwerp (Deurne Airport) with a pleasant atmosphere, all modern amenities, a kicker table, pool table and lots of social activities – we love to hang out and be social!
  • Flexible working environment with excellent work/life balance, including the option to work from home.
  • The ability to work in an award-winning company, with real international reach.

About Antwerp

Antwerp, the most populous city in Belgium, home to a vibrant fashion scene and a city boasting tons of historical and cultural heritage. From inspiring historical and contemporary art to impressive medieval and postmodern architecture, there are tons of things to explore and love about the city of Antwerp.

The travel guide Lonely Planet picked Antwerp as one of its Top 10 Best Cities in 2018. That is not surprising, as the city is not only bursting with life but is also increasingly multicultural.

Nearly every local understands and speaks English, as well as (some) French. Many speak a vast array of other languages as well, such as Spanish, Italian and Arabic for example, as there are people from 170 different ethnic backgrounds living and working in the city.

Families with children won’t be facing any concerns either. Antwerp is home to many high-quality state and private educational institutions, as well as international schools. If all that wasn’t enough, the city is located in close proximity to some other notable European cities, such as Paris and Amsterdam.

You won’t ever find yourself bored either. Shopping venues, the Antwerp Zoo (one of the oldest in the world!), the Opera House, various museums, a vibrant nightlife and tons of cafés & restaurants to discover in the heart of the historic city center… it’s safe to say there are countless leisure activities to partake in.

Offer

We offer the ability to work in a cutting-edge field with a fresh and flexible startup mentality!
