Beautiful drone footage of snow covered Rome

The cold weather currently blazing over Europe has a lot of us wishing for warmer days to come sooner rather than later. But the icy winter caused an unusual 4 inches of snow to cover the city of Rome.

Although schools and public transportation were paralyzed, the snow did provide some beautiful scenery with the Eternal City’s famous ancient ruins and parks covered in snow.

The snow had melted by noon, but one drone operator took it upon himself to eternalize this rare occasion with some beautiful drone-filmed footage.

Intel impresses with drone light show during 2018 Olympic Winter Games Closing Ceremony

On February 25, Intel left spectators in awe during the 2018 Olympic Winter Games Closing Ceremony in PyeongChang. 300 ‘Shooting Star’ drones took to the sky to celebrate the athletes and this year’s games. Intel also broke a Guinness World Record previously, with its Shooting Star drone light show during the opening ceremony, when 1,218 drones lit up the sky with an orchestrated performance.

Drone rescues Australian swimmers

On January 18, two teenage boys were saved by a drone deployed by lifeguards, off the eastern coast of Australia. The two boys were actually spotted by chance, because the Australian Lifeguard Service were training with the drone to spot sharks. During said training they were notified of two swimmers having difficulty nearby while surfing.
